Gaumont Appoints U.S. Business & Legal Affairs Head

Gaumont has elevated Tim Stephen from senior VP to head of U.S. business and legal affairs at its Los Angeles office.

Stephen was first hired by Gaumont in 2014 as senior VP of U.S. business and legal affairs. His remit spans film, television, animation and distribution divisions. He reports to Gene Stein, the company’s president of U.S. television; Nicolas Atlan, the president of animation; and Vanessa Shapiro, the president of worldwide TV distribution and co-production.

Before joining Gaumont, Stephen spent six years as executive VP of business and legal affairs at Generate. Earlier, he held business and legal affairs roles at Cartoon Network and Lionsgate. He has also served as president of Adam Productions. He started his career at MGM/UA, 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Productions.
