LOS ANGELES: From August 21 to September 1, for 24 hours a day, FXX will air nothing but The Simpsons, with 25 seasons—a whopping 552 episodes—set to air on the cable network.

FXX has slated the marathon to celebrate its acquisition of the exclusive cable and authenticated non-linear VOD rights to all seasons of the hit animated sitcom, excluding the first run on FOX. FXX will get subsequent seasons of The Simpsons as new seasons begin their first run on FOX.

The marathon kicks off 10 a.m. on August 21 and ends at midnight on September 1. In addition to all episodes, the marathon will include The Simpsons Movie. Beginning September 2, The Simpsons will air on FXX in fringe, prime-time and late-night day parts on weekdays and weekends. There will also be a mini marathon every Sunday, with eight episodes airing from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

FXX is also launching a digital experience, called Simpsons World, available online and via the FXNOW app, in October. In addition to premium content and interactive experiences for fans, Simpsons World will allow authenticated viewers to have on-demand access to every single Simpsons episode.
