Suzanne Lopez Upped to COO of Fremantle North America

Fremantle has put in place a new structure to bolster its North American operations, which will see Suzanne Lopez elevated to the role of COO.

This past summer, Jennifer Mullin took on the role of global CEO at Fremantle while continuing to serve as CEO for North America. Lopez, who has been with Fremantle for 15 years, will have oversight of all legal and business affairs, HR, production, technology and security as COO for North America. She has served as the company’s executive VP of business and legal affairs for the last nine years.

Tim Grau moves into the role of executive VP of business and legal affairs for the company’s unscripted projects. He has been with the company for nearly 12 years, having served in numerous roles within the business affairs division, most recently as senior VP of commercial partnerships and business affairs.

Dan Funk has been named as the new executive VP of unscripted production. Funk has been with Fremantle for the past 15 years, having most recently served as an executive producer on the Daytime Emmy Award-winning Let’s Make a Deal throughout all ten seasons. Dan will oversee all aspects of Fremantle’s unscripted production in North America.

Meredith Berens joins the company as senior VP of human resources. Berens has more than a decade of industry experience and previously served as the head of international HR for DreamWorks Animation, in addition to positions at G4 and E! networks.

“At a time of exciting growth and ambition for Fremantle’s U.S. business, I’m delighted to have further strengthened our top team, combining first-class talent from outside Fremantle with outstanding colleagues from within,” said Mullin.
