Freeform Preps Fourth Season of Young & Hungry

BURBANK: Production has begun on a fourth season of the original comedy series Young & Hungry for Freeform, formerly ABC Family.

The third season of Young & Hungry currently airs on Freeform on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. The show stars Emily Osment, Jonathan Sadowski, Aimee Carrero, Kym Whitley and Rex Lee. The series and cast have been nominated for five Teen Choice Awards since its premiere in summer 2014. Season to date, Young & Hungry is cable TV’s number one scripted original series in its time period in the adults 18 to 34 and 18 to 49 demographics.

Young & Hungry is the first series we’ve renewed under the new Freeform banner,” said Karey Burke, the executive VP of programming and development at Freeform. “It remains a staple in our comedy diet. The show’s humor, quality and wonderful actors fit perfectly with our evolving brand.”

Young & Hungry is produced by David Holden, Ashley Tisdale, Jessica Rhoades, Caryn Lucas, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannenbaum in association with CBS Television Studios. Gabi Moskowitz of BrokeAssGourmet.com is a San Francisco-based food blogger who contributed to the development of the project.
