FOX Ups Jonathan Gabay in Comedy Post

Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) has promoted Jonathan Gabay to the post of senior VP of comedy development and programming.

In this role, Gabay will be responsible for helping drive development efforts for the network’s comedy slate and leading series coverage on FOX’s comedy hits. He will report directly to Suzanna Makkos, FOX’s executive VP of comedy development and programming.

Gabay joined FOX in 2011 as manager of comedy development and was then elevated to director, executive director and VP of comedy development and programming. He was involved in the development of such series as Dads, Enlisted and The Grinder for the network. Currently, Gabay oversees Family Guy, The Mick and the upcoming comedy Ghosted, which he developed. Gabay also developed the comedy LA to Vegas. He managed New Girl and The Last Man on Earth for three seasons each. Prior to FOX, Gabay was the coordinator of current programming at The CW. In that role, he worked on Smallville, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl and Supernatural.
