FOX Unveils Premiere Dates for Winter Lineup

LOS ANGELES: This winter, FOX is scheduled to debut World's Funniest Fails, a tentatively titled unscripted comedy inspired by the successful YouTube channel FailArmy, among other new and returning programming.

World's Funniest Fails will present a number of "epic fail" viral videos along with commentary from a panel of comedians. The one-hour show is set to begin airing on January 16 at 8 p.m. January will also see the final 13-episode season of Glee debuting on FOX with a special two-hour event on January 9 at 8 p.m. Backstrom, a new offbeat crime procedural starring Rainn Wilson (The Office), will premiere on January 22 at 9 p.m.

For later in 2015, FOX has lined up The Last Man On Earth, an end-of-the-world comedy exec produced, created by and starring Will Forte (Nebraska), and Weird Loners, a new ensemble comedy from writer Michael J. Weithorn (The King of Queens). The former will kick off with two back-to-back episodes on March 1 at 9 p.m., while the latter is slated for March 31 at 9:30 p.m.

Returning shows debuting this winter will include MasterChef Junior, New Girl and The Mindy Project, with new episodes of each due to begin airing on January 6 at 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., respectively. American Idol XIV will make its season premiere on January 7 at 8 p.m. before moving to Thursday nights on January 22. The Following is coming back for a third season with a special two-hour event on March 2 at 8 p.m. That show will then return to its regular 9 p.m. time slot the next week. Other series headed back to the network are Hell's Kitchen (March 3 at 8 p.m.) and Bones (March 26 at 8 p.m.).
