LOS ANGELES: Cat Deeley, who currently fronts So You Think You Can Dance, is hosting a new dating show on FOX, The Choice, which puts singles through blind auditions.

The show gets under way June 7. Filmed in front of a live audience, The Choice begins as four celebrity bachelors sit in rotating chairs, unable to see potential mates. If the bachelor likes what he hears, he can turn his chair around and come face to face with his potential mate. If more than one turns their chair around, they must battle for the affection of the single. Once each bachelor has selected three ladies, the teams enter the Speed Choice Round, where each woman has only seconds to convince him she’s the right one. In the final round, Deeley poses a challenge question to each of the team’s final two. The celebrities will then make their choice, taking one lady off on a dream date.

A. Smith & Co. Productions (Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares) is on board to produce.

“We wanted to put a new spin on the dating game show that gives celebrities ‘the choice’ of a lifetime and the chance to prove you really shouldn’t judge a book by its cover,” said Mike Darnell, the president of alternative entertainment at Fox Broadcasting Company.
