FOX Issues Early Renewals

LOS ANGELES: FOX has picked up New Girl, The Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Following for the 2014-15 season.

The renewal marks the third season for The Following, which stars Kevin Bacon, and the third for the Mindy Kaling comedy. The 2014-15 season will be the sophomore run for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which picked up the Golden Globe for comedy this year. New Girl, starring Zooey Deschanel, will head into its fourth season.

“These shows are some of the best and acclaimed series on television, with influential, culture-driving stars, and some of the best, most creative talent behind the camera,” said Kevin Reilly, the chairman of entertainment at FOX, and Joe Earley, chief operating officer. “All four are core assets within our 2014-15 portfolio of content, and we're really happy to bring them back to our Fox fans for another season.”

These four series join the previously announced Glee and Bones renewals on FOX.
