LOS ANGELES: FOX has renewed the comedies New Girl, The Mindy Project and Raising Hope as well as the freshman drama The Following.

Season to date, New Girl is the number one comedy among the core women 18-to-34 demo. The Mindy Project has emerged as the number one new comedy of the season with women 18 to 34. Raising Hope, meanwhile, has anchored Tuesday nights and is a top 20 sitcom among adults 18 to 34 and teens. New Girl is getting its third season and Raising Hope its fourth. The Mindy Project will be returning for season two.

Also getting a second season is the drama The Following. After only six airings, The Following is already the number two broadcast drama and the number three drama overall this season with Live+7 ratings.

"We love working with these talented producers and casts who, week after week, create some of the funniest work on television," said Kevin Reilly, the chairman of entertainment at the Fox Broadcasting Company. "These shows are creatively vibrant, they have established a loyal and passionate audience and they will continue to define and grow the FOX comedy brand next season and beyond."

"From the very beginning, we felt Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega had created a high-quality, edge-of-your-seat drama that could break from the pack, and it is exciting to see the audience responding," added Reilly of The Following. "Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy have given us two of the most compelling characters on television and the entire cast is incredible. I’m delighted to have this thrill ride continue on FOX for another season."
