LOS ANGELES: Just two episodes into the freshman season of FEARnet’s first original series, Holliston, and the network has given the greenlight for a second cycle.

Holliston is an ’80s-style horror-comedy throwback created by Adam Green and produced by ArieScope Pictures. The second season is slated for summer 13. Returning for the sophomore run are Laura Ortiz (The Hills Have Eyes, Horton Hears A Who), Corri English (Unrest, The Bedford Diaries, lead singer of Brokedown Cadillac), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister, Strangeland, radio/television personality) and Oderus Urungus (singer from heavy metal band GWAR).

"Holliston resonates with both genre junkies and more mainstream comedy fans alike, making our first push into original programming a successful attempt for diversifying our schedule and showing the breadth of our audience," said Peter Block, the general manager and president of FEARnet. "Adam Green and Joe Lynch bring to life a truly original series perfectly fit for FEARnet."

"We’ve been overjoyed by the audience’s response and reactions to the show," added Holliston creator and star Adam Green. "It’s amazing to watch the characters be embraced so quickly and to see fans quoting it on Twitter, Facebook and at conventions around the country. There is something truly special happening with Holliston and the way that it has been received by fans."
