ESPN Unveils Unified Soccer Brand

NEW YORK: ESPN is bringing together all of its soccer properties under the same banner, ESPNFC, which spans TV, radio, print, online and mobile.

Starting this week, a preview of ESPNFC is available with branded content online and on mobile platforms centered on the EURO 2012 tournament in Poland and Ukraine. Later this year online and on mobile, ESPNFC will expand to include all major leagues and competitions worldwide. The new ESPNFC brand will also be integrated into ESPNdeportes.com, serving the Spanish-speaking audiences across the U.S. The company will also rename the global multiplatform soccer debate and discussion show ESPNsoccernet PressPass to ESPNFC PressPass.

John Skipper, the president of ESPN, Inc. and co-chairman of Disney Media Networks, said: “ESPN is solidifying its dedication to soccer year-round with the launch of ESPNFC. It represents one of ESPN’s most significant global commitments to the sport and leverages the core strength of what ESPN does well—serve sports fans. In short, ESPNFC is the definitive source for soccer coverage worldwide.”
