LOS ANGELES: Entertainment One (eOne) has secured an exclusive first-look agreement with The Cartel to develop, produce and distribute TV projects, including series and movies of the week.

As part of the agreement, eOne will produce and handle the worldwide distribution for all TV projects. The companies have already lined up several titles on their development slate, including Company Men, from Alphas co-creator Michael Karnow; Becoming Sherlock, by Cassandra Clare, the writer of The Motal Instruments; and Facing Demons, from Flash Gordon showrunner and executive producer Peter Hume.

“We’re thrilled to be in business with The Cartel. I’ve always wanted to say that,” said Michael Rosenberg, eOne’s executive VP of U.S. scripted television. “The Cartel brings a network of outstanding creative talent to eOne and opens the door to multiplatform partnerships and co-production opportunities for both U.S. and international audiences.”
