Endemol Beyond USA Signs Drea de Matteo for Digital Series

LOS ANGELES: Endemol Beyond USA has inked a deal with Drea de Matteo to develop, produce and distribute an original digital series.

The series, The Muthaship Starring Drea de Matteo, is directed by Carter B. Smith (Three Days) and will launch as an Endemol Beyond USA original digital series this spring. De Matteo is an Emmy Award-winning actress, known for her roles in such hits as The Sopranos and Sons of Anarchy.

Will Keenan, the president of Endemol Beyond USA, commented: “Drea built her audience through her roles on some of the best series on television. In her new original digital series, Drea and her friends are at the center of the story. She epitomizes the modern day woman and is a natural fit for the unscripted digital format and beyond."
