LOS ANGELES: Electus International has picked up the tape and format rights for the baking travelogue series Sinful Sweets for Australia, Canada, Asia and Latin America.

The six-episode series, produced by Pernel Media, will air on Cooking Channel in the U.S. starting this fall. In each episode, British chef Harry Eastwood visits three renowned eateries in cities such as Chicago, Philadelphia and Charleston and takes part in preparing the sweets at each location. Electus International is set to present the title at MIPCOM next month.

Sinful Sweets transcends the typical cooking show format by bringing viewers along on a culinary trip, and we’re excited to bring the show to audiences around the world,” said Cyrus Farrokh, the VP of Electus International. “The series seamlessly merges cooking and travel, and we expect this series to resonate globally.”

“We’re delighted to partner with Electus International on Sinful Sweets,” added Samuel Kissous, the president and executive producer at Pernel Media. “It is our first U.S. commission and latest English-language international production. We’re sure viewers around the world will enjoy seeing Harry Eastwood having fun while discovering the best desserts the U.S. has to offer!”
