Digital Storytelling Platform The Outline Receives Boat Rocker Investment

NEW YORK: Boat Rocker Media and Shari Redstone’s Advancit Capital are among the investors in the digital storytelling platform The Outline.

The Outline marks the first brand from Independent Media, founded by Joshua Topolsky. Its editorial focus covers the three core themes of power, culture and the future.

Boat Rocker Media, producers of Orphan Black, is on board as an initial investor. Further backing for Independent Media and The Outline comes from RRE Ventures; Advancit Capital, co-founded by Shari Redstone, vice-chairman of CBS and Viacom; and NextView Ventures.
