dick clark productions Sets Up International Distribution Division

SANTA MONICA: dick clark productions has set up a new division focused on international distribution as well as the acquisition, financing and creation of new shows, with an initial slate that includes the American Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards.

The new division will also handle the distribution of the Hollywood Film Awards, The PEOPLE MAGAZINE Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Dick Clark’s New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

Based in Santa Monica, dick clark productions (dcp) International will be overseen by Mark Rafalowski as executive VP, reporting to Mike Mahan, the president of dcp. Rafalowski was with dick clark productions in the late 1990s and went on to serve as the president of Rive Gauche Television and then COO of Radical Studios.

“Mark's track record in both domestic and international distribution makes him the perfect executive to oversee our vision for a full service in-house international division," Mahan said. "He understands the international television landscape and the importance of having the right partners on a global scale to create and grow TV brands worldwide."

In addition to numerous television events, dcp also produces So You Think You Can Dance and has a joint venture with Keshet that is making Rising Star for ABC.
