Detectorists to Make U.S. Debut on Acorn TV

SILVER SPRING: The BAFTA-winning British comedy Detectorists, starring Mackenzie Crook (Game of Thrones) and Toby Jones (Captain America), is slated to make its U.S. premiere on Acorn TV this summer.

Written and directed by Crook, Detectorists follows two metal-detecting enthusiasts searching for treasure in the English countryside. The show's first season debuted on BBC Four late last year. A second season is currently in production.

All six episodes of Detectorists will become available to stream anytime on Acorn TV on Monday, August 17. RLJ Entertainment's Acorn brand will also release the series on DVD in September.
