Daily Show Duo Sells Comedy Pilot to TBS

ATLANTA: TBS has ordered a new scripted comedy pilot from The Daily Show's Jason Jones and Samantha Bee, based on their real-life family adventures. 

The comedy follows a family as they take a road trip. Jones will star in the pilot. He will play the hopeful dad who hops in the car with his wife and two young kids for a 24-hour journey to Key West. Should the project get a series greenlight, each season of the show would chronicle a different trip.

Jones and Bee are both featured on Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and are also a couple in real life.
