Comedy Central Promotes West Coast Exec Jim Sharp

NEW YORK: Jim Sharp has been promoted from the role of senior VP of original programming and development for the West Coast at Comedy Central to the executive VP post.

He reports to Kent Alterman, Comedy Central’s president of content development and original programming. Sharp will continue to oversee development and production on all West Coast-based original pilots and series. His new role also sees him managing digital development for CC:Studios.

Sharp has been with Comedy Central since 2002, having joined from Broadway Video. He also served as development VP at Comedy Central from 1996-1997.
