NEW YORK: Comedy Central is to expand the six-part HBO Digital series Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!, a documentary-style dramatic comedy, to full half hours and produce a half dozen new episodes.

Brody Stevens: Enjoy It! chronicles the life of stand-up comedian Brody Stevens, who is recovering from an emotional breakdown. The program will include appearances from fellow comics such as Zach Galifianakis and Sarah Silverman, among others. It will feature a combination of live stand-up footage, documentary footage and animation, and will debut in the summer.

Stevens recently filmed the Comedy Central show The Half Hour, slated for broadcast this summer, as well as the 17-episode digital series Push and Believe for CC: Studios.

"Brody may be fearless, but we are terrified…in a good way," remarked Kent Alterman, the president of content development and original programming at Comedy Central.

"I’m as excited as I can be while on 300 milligrams of Lamictal," added Stevens. "My life has always been about POSITIVE ENERGY and I’m looking forward to all of Comedy Central’s fans following me on Twitter at @BrodyismeFriend. America—get ready to PUSH AND BELIEVE!"
