PHILADELPHIA: Customers of Comcast’s Xfinity TV service are gaining special access to the 12th annual Tribeca Film Festival, with four features being offered ahead of their festival debut.

The English Teacher, Fresh Meat, What Richard Did and Greetings from Tim Buckley are being offered before they make their debut during the film festival. Past Tribeca Film favorites available include Newlyweds, Grave Encounters, Janie Jones, Struck by Lightning and many others.

“Our Xfinity On Demand and Xfinity.com/TV platforms provide independent filmmakers with an audience they may not otherwise reach, and in turn we get to provide our customers with a unique and exciting film experience,” said Maggie McLean Suniewick, the VP of video services at Comcast Cable. “By continuing to nurture our relationships with these filmmakers and festivals, we are able to help broaden the distribution of indie films and bring the best festival experiences to our customers.”

Todd Green, the general manager at Tribeca Film, said, “With so many Tribeca Film titles on Xfinity On Demand, it’s easy for Xfinity TV viewers to curate their own Festival experience at home. By offering a variety of films across different genres, it gives the audience a chance to see favorite actors like Julianne Moore and Penn Badgley, and discover great new talent like Jack Reynor in What Richard Did.”
