CBS Consumer Products Signs International L&M Deals

NEW YORK: Products inspired by Star Trek, Mighty Mouse, CSI and other brands are set to be available in dozens of territories after a slew of international deals signed by CBS Consumer Products.

The company, which handles worldwide L&M for various television brands and series, signed with Gary Gurmukh Sales to introduce Star Trek souvenir merchandise into Canada. Other Trekkie agreements in that country will see NTD Apparel launching co-branded Star Trek and The Big Bang Theory clothing and Brooklyn Briefcase releasing branded martial art apparel and accessories. In Australia and New Zealand, Mitch Dowd will develop a line of Star Trek-branded men’s sleepwear, underwear, socks and outerwear.

Mighty Mouse deals include Watanabe Co. releasing phone cases, cosmetics, tote bags and apparel in Japan, while Fujian Mak Sum Footwear will introduce infant and children’s footwear in China. New World Distributors is bringing a line of Cheers-inspired snacks to Canada, while Finland’s Tactic Publishing is set to release Nordic translations of the Club CSI books to Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Continuing on the CSI front, Kronsegler is developing a line of watches inspired by the show in Germany, Switzerland, Australia and China. Finally, Sun City is presenting T-shirts in France from CBS properties such as CSI, Dexter and NCIS.
