Caryn Mandabach Productions Hires Former Movie Exec for U.S. Office

LOS ANGELES: Caryn Mandabach Productions, which is behind the BBC Two series Peaky Blinders, has tapped veteran film producer Michael Besman to head up its L.A. office.

Besman is tasked with developing and producing premium TV content for the U.S., the U.K. and international broadcasters. He is a veteran studio executive with credits such as Batman, Jumanji, Sleepless in Seattle and As Good as It Gets. Recent film credits include About Schmidt, Seven Years in Tibet and Bounce.

Caryn Mandabach, owner of Caryn Mandabach Productions, said: “Michael has the rare ability to discover and nurture the stories, which appeal to hearts and minds everywhere. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him join our merry band.”
