Cablevision Lands Retrans Agreement with NBCU

BETHPAGE/NEW YORK: Cablevision Systems Corp. and NBCUniversal have signed an extensive affiliation agreement that includes, among other terms, retransmission consent for NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations.

The agreement sees NBCU’s portfolio of sports, news and entertainment broadcast and cable content continuing to be available to Cablevision TV customers. The pact also includes the rights for on-demand content and access to live channels across multiple platforms. Along with the retransmission consent for NBC- and Telemundo-owned stations, the agreement sees the continued carriage of cable channels such as USA, Bravo, mun2, MSNBC, Syfy, Telemundo Media and The Golf Channel, among others.
