Bunim/Murray Productions Invests in Shareability

Bunim/Murray Productions (BMP) has invested in the digital marketing accelerator Shareability, which aims to increase the value of projects with data-driven brand marketing and promotion before they are brought to networks and platforms.

The investment will allow BMP to incorporate data and analytics into show pitches and help inform its creative development process, strengthening its approach to both traditional and new players in the industry. Shareability will also advise the company on emerging areas and trends in the world of social media. BMP will also look to utilize Shareability’s data and analytics engine to help incubate certain digital series from its development slate.

Shareability will also lend its knowledge to creating socially-optimized content. Shareability and Bunim/Murray will present a new model for producing and marketing programming by building pitch packages for select show buyers, traditional networks and streaming platforms.

Notable Shareability YouTube campaigns include John Cena’s collaboration with Cricket Wireless, the Baby Olympics spots and Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” music video. Placing a premium on analytics, Shareability uses data to drive its work, marrying the art and science of shareable content to break through the noise of the internet and resonate with audiences on a meaningful and emotional level.

The deal also sees Gil Goldschein, CEO of BMP, join Shareability’s board of directors.

“In an ever-evolving TV Landscape where the level of competition amongst creative story-tellers and producers has reached a fever pitch, now more than ever, we need to find a way to ‘break through the noise.’ With Shareability, we gain the ability to accurately predict audience trends and identify blue sky opportunities in an unprecedented way,” said Goldschein.

“Bunim/Murray is responsible for some of the most iconic television shows of the last twenty-five years. Through our partnership we are redefining how to launch shows for the next twenty-five,” said Tim Staples, co-Founder and CEO of Shareability.
