LOS ANGELES: Pivot has acquired all back episodes of the cult hit series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Veronica Mars, which will air in a block with back-to-back episodes on the network Mondays through Fridays starting at 10 p.m.

Buffy was picked up in a deal with Twentieth Century Fox, and Veronica Mars from Warner Bros. Pivot is going to bill the block as Buffy and Veronica Power Hours. Starting January 13, episodes will air weekdays at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Buffy and Veronica Mars are enormously entertaining and celebrated TV shows with significant cultural and social relevance,” said Evan Shapiro, the president of Pivot. “Both focus on smart, strong, young women dealing with critical issues from class struggles to gender roles—challenges facing a great many of our viewers. Pivot will contextualize the shows, presenting them with exclusive commentary from fans, experts and academics, to both celebrate these two great series and begin a dialogue with our viewers.”
