Bravo Increases Original Programming by 15 Percent

NEW YORK: Bravo Media has 17 new unscripted series that it has greenlit, alongside 18 returning shows as well as three scripted projects in development.

For the summer schedule, Bravo has lined up Below Deck, from 51 Minds. The show follows a crew of young and single "yachties" who live and work aboard a privately owned yacht. Eat, Drink, Love is about the restaurant and food industry in Los Angeles, where a group of women are mixing business with pleasure in a typically male-dominated industry.

Coming to Bravo this fall is City Sisters, which centers on a group of up-and-comers in New York’s real estate, fashion and media scenes. Courtney Loves Dallas features Courtney Kerr, a breakout star from Most Eligible Dallas, and her sassy friends who are part of the lively Texas social scene. Divorce Diva (w.t.) stars Vikki Ziegler, who helps couples that are separating sort out their assets. The fall lineup also includes Extreme Guide to Parenting, in which each episode looks at two different households that have unique styles of raising their children, and Fashion Queens, a fashion-based talk show with two of Atlanta’s most elite stylists, Derek J and Miss Lawrence, and New York fashion maven Bevy Smith.

The Kandi Factory, centered on The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss, debuts April 9. On May 6, Bravo premieres Newlyweds: The First Year, about four diverse couples who are going through their first 365 days of being married.

Summer 2013 will see the launch of Property Envy, about exclusive and expensive houses; Southern Charm, going behind the gates of modern-day Southern aristocracy; and Taking Atlanta (w.t.), following a group of go-getters living in Georgia. New Bravo shows for the summer also include Princesses: Long Island, about six young women from Great Neck, Long Island, and 100 Days of Summer, about a successful Chicago "it" crowd.

Thicker Than Water: The Tankards is a docu-series surrounding the former professional basketball player turned recording artist Ben Tankard. Two Fit Girls is about best friends and business partners who are behind ToneItUp.com. Ladies of London (w.t.) is set in the class-conscious city of London. All three are scheduled for fall debuts.

Bravo also has three scripted projects in development. This includes Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce, a dramedy about a best-selling author of self-help books who is navigating life as a single woman in her 40s in L.A. Heiresses, based on an upcoming novel from Sara Sheperd (Pretty Little Liars), is a drama about wealthy families on New York’s Upper East Side. High and Low is a period drama set in the worlds of 1980s art, food and Wall Street. Unscripted projects in development are Ivy League Confidential (w.t.), America’s Best Restaurant (w.t.) and Rich People’s Problems (w.t.).
