Bravo Elevates Development & Production Execs

NEW YORK: Bravo Media has bumped up three development and production execs while expanding the roles of two others to gain oversight of Oxygen Media.

Lara Spotts, who has previously developed series such as Newlyweds: The First Year and Thicker Than Water, is the new senior VP of development. She’ll lead scripted and non-scripted efforts on both the East and West Coast for pilots, casting reels and original concepts. Spotts will be based in New York, where she’ll report to Frances Berwick, the president of Bravo and Oxygen Media.

Jenn Levy and Kathleen French have both been promoted to senior VP of production. Levy oversees the production of Bravo series such as Shahs of Sunset and Million Dollar Listing, while French spearheads productions on Southern Charm and Ladies to London. They’ll both be based in Los Angeles and report to Shari Levine, Bravo Media’s senior VP of production.

Meanwhile, Bravo’s senior VP of production operations David O’Connell and VP of program strategy and acquisitions David Brewer have expanded their roles to include Oxygen Media. O’Connell will supervise all production operations for original series and specials for both Bravo and Oxygen networks. The exec will be based in Los Angeles, reporting to Jerry Leo, the EVP of program strategy at Bravo and Oxygen Media, and production at Bravo Media.

Brewer will oversee all functions of the Bravo and Oxygen Media Program Planning departments, including linear and digital program scheduling, as well as series rollout planning, while leading the programming support for sales, marketing and international initiatives. He’ll also spearhead movie and series acquisitions for the two networks. Brewer will be based in New York, where he’ll continue to report to Leo.
