Bravo Diversifies Slate

NEW YORK: At its Upfront presentation, Bravo Media presented a roster of original programming that featured 15 new series, including two that are scripted, and 16 returning shows.

In the way of scripted fare, Bravo has lined up Odd Mom Out, a comedy loosely based on the life of celebrated fashionista Jill Kargman. Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce is based on the best-selling book series by Vicki Iovine and was written by Marti Noxon (Glee, Mad Men).

New unscripted programs include Top Chef Duels, previously announced as Top Chef Extreme; Best New Restaurant, an out-of-studio culinary competition; and 100 Dates (working title), which marks the network's foray into real-time docudrama production, as each episode will be shot and aired within the same week.

Friends to Lovers? is a social experiment about platonic friends trying out a romantic relationship together. Manzo'd with Children follows the Manzo family, first featured in The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Euros of Hollywood is led by six European jet-setters who are taking L.A. by storm.

Premiering in June, Ladies of London is a docuseries that follows an elite group of British socialites and American expats who run in similar social circles. Also in June comes Million Dollar Listing Miami, the latest in the popular franchise. In July, the network will debut Game of Crowns, a pageant wives competition.

Further series on the slate include Jersey Belle, a fish-out-of-water tale about a New Jersey native and Hollywood publicist. Untying the Knot is about a relationship mediator. Extreme Guide to Parenting, a summer premiere, features different households with various parenting styles. The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi's Wedding (working title) follows the Real Housewives star Kandi Burruss as she plans her wedding.

The network also has three projects in development, including Going Going Gone (working title), which is a live televised estate sale. Tour Group (working title) is a luxury docu-travel series. Gen XYZ (working title) is about four women from different generations who are trying to take their careers to the next level.

“Our strategy of creating a total multiplatform lifestyle experience for our Affluencers is paying off with not just viewership growth across the board, but also loyalty, which is at an all-time high for Bravo,” said Frances Berwick, the president of Bravo and Oxygen Media. “This diversified new lineup, which includes two scripted series and our first ‘real-time’ docuseries, will satisfy fans and also bring in new affluent viewers.”
