ATLANTA: A pair of fresh comedies and returning shows make up the new lineup of Bounce TV, a U.S. broadcaster aimed at African-American audiences.

Upcoming originals include Mann & Wife, which series creator and director Roger Bobb calls “a black Brady Bunch.” That show is set to premiere winter of 2015. Debuting next summer will be Sisters, a sitcom about members of a once-famous R&B group who find themselves middle-aged and living under the same roof.

The network’s half-hour situation comedy Family Time has been renewed for a second season, which is set to air this fall. The stand-up comedy series Off the Chain is also scheduled to return in the fall after being greenlit for a third season.

The programming slate announcement comes just as the channel completes its first year of Nielsen ratings. Those reports showed Bounce TV has become the number two network for African-American audiences, with a household increase of 43 percent in prime-time delivery and 48-percent increase in total day viewership.
