BitTorrent Unveils Live TV Streaming App

LOS ANGELES: BitTorrent Live is a brand-new multichannel app that features news, sports, music, tech and youth-culture programming.

BitTorrent Live is meant to solve provisioning and lag-time problems for live online broadcasting. It features a free tier of channels, including AWE, formerly known as WealthTV; Clubbing TV, dedicated to electronic music; Fast&Fun, showcasing extreme sports; FightBox, a compilation of combat sports; FilmBox Arthouse, with curated indie movies and classics; Heroes TV, for action-adventure fanatics; Newsmax, a news service; Pursuit Channel, geared to hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation; and One World Sports, with live sporting action.

Additional channels will follow, including subscription-based, ad-supported and pay-per-view premium tiers.
