Big Little Lies, Stranger Things Top SAG Award TV Nominations

Netflix has scored 19 nominations for the 24th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards for its TV programs, followed by HBO with 12 nods.

Big Little Lies, Stranger Things and GLOW each scored four nominations, with Game of Thrones notching up three.

In the television arena, the nominees for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series are The Crown, Game of Thrones, The Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger Things and This Is Us. The comedy ensemble nominees for TV are black-ish, Curb Your Enthusiasm, GLOW, Orange Is the New Black and Veep.

For individual performance nods, the category for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series features Jason Bateman (Ozark), Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), David Harbour (Stranger Things) and Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul). For female in a drama series, the nominated actresses are Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Claire Foy (The Crown), Laura Linney (Ozark), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Robin Wright (House of Cards).

For TV comedy, the actor nominees are Anthony Anderson (black-ish), Aziz Ansari (Master of None), Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Sean Hayes (Will & Grace), William H. Macy (Shameless) and Marc Maron (GLOW). The actress nominees in the comedy series arena are Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black), Alison Brie (GLOW), Jane Fonda (Grace and Frankie), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Veep) and Lily Tomlin (Grace and Frankie).

The miniseries/TV movie category features, for male actor nominees, Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Jeff Daniels (Godless), Robert De Niro (The Wizard of Lies), Geoffrey Rush (Genius) and Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies). For female actress nominees, the nods went to Laura Dern (Big Little Lies), Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), Jessica Lange (Feud: Bette and Joan), Susan Sarandon (Feud: Bette and Joan) and Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies).

The programs nominated for outstanding performance by a stunt ensemble in a television series are Game of Thrones, GLOW, Homeland, Stranger Things and The Walking Dead.
