Beyond Sends The Dengineers to the U.S.

LONDON: Beyond Distribution has sold the U.K. makeover series The Dengineers to Discovery Family Channel in the U.S.

The Dengineers follows a team of expert designers who build dream dens for children around the country. The 11×30-minute show is hosted by Mark Wright and Lauren Layfield. It is produced by CBBC Productions for CBBC.

Beyond has also licensed both seasons of Game of Homes to Discovery Family Channel in the U.S. The 16×60-minute show sees four houses transported to an arena where they are worked on by amateur renovators competing for a prize. It is produced by Great Pacific Media for W Network in Canada.

Sherry Fynbo, Beyond’s senior VP of sales for the U.S., Canada and Latin America, commented: “The Dengineers is a gem; there has not been a kids’ show like it and its creativity is a testament to the U.S. market picking up a non-U.S. show. Both of these series should serve the new channel direction with success.”
