BBC America Acquires Dylan Thomas Biopic

NEW YORK: BBC America has acquired the rights to A Poet in New York, a film exploring poet Dylan Thomas' final days that was written by acclaimed screenwriter Andrew Davies.

Starring Tom Hollander, A Poet in New York marks the centenary of Dylan Thomas' birth. It was directed by Aisling Walsh and produced by Modern Television for BBC Cymru Wales and BBC Two. The film is repped by BBC Worldwide.

BBC America is set to air the biopic this fall. It aired in the U.K. in May.
