Battlestar Galactica Spinoff Set for Online Debut

LOS ANGELES: Universal Cable Productions (UCP) is launching the newest chapter in the Battlestar Galactica franchise, Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, on the Machinima Prime online entertainment network as part of a three-tiered windowing strategy.

The spinoff will debut exclusively on November 9 on Machinima’s premium channel. Each new chapter will premiere exclusively on Machinima Prime, which has already garnered more than half a million subscribers in three months. The series will be presented as ten episodes, each 7 to 12 minutes in length. They will be available exclusively on Machinima Prime until February 3, then head to Syfy, which will run the program as a two-hour movie. Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome will then be released on Blu-ray, DVD, digital download, pay-per-view and VOD.
