Amy Savitsky Climbs the Ranks at TLC

SILVER SPRING: TLC has elevated Amy Savitsky, formerly the network’s VP of development, to senior VP of program development.

Based out of Silver Spring, Savitsky will work under Amy Winter, TLC’s general manager. She will continue to oversee East Coast development initiatives, while also supervising the production of certain programming. 

Since joining TLC in August 2011, Savitsky has managed multiple new shows, including Family S.O.S. With Jo Frost, Breaking Amish, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and My 600lb Life. In the past she has held such titles as VP of development for Discovery Channel, director of development for Discovery Health and story editor for DreamWorks SKG.

Winter stated: "Amy has shown a remarkable passion for storytelling and strong instincts for finding real-life characters that really connect with our audience. She’s been the force behind some of TLC’s most breakout hits, and we’re confident Amy will continue to be a part of the network’s pop culture dominance."
