Amazon Instant Video App Offers Streaming On-the-Go

SEATTLE: The Amazon Instant Video App is now available for the iPod touch and iPhone, giving customers the ability to stream or download movies and television episodes from anywhere.

The app also offers Prime members—at no extra cost—more than 30,000 Prime Instant Video titles, including popular television series such as American Horror Story, Downton Abbey and Fringe, and films such as Hugo, Thor and Goodfellas.

The Amazon Instant Video App, which was introduced for the iPad earlier this year, is available for free download in the App Store. It includes features such as "Your Watchlist" and "Your Video Library."

"Our customers tell us they want the convenience of being able to watch all of their movies and TV episodes, wherever they are," said Anthony Bay, Amazon.com’s VP for video. "Today we’re excited to extend our ‘buy once, enjoy everywhere’ approach to iPhone and iPod touch users, giving customers the chance to enjoy more than 140,000 titles from Amazon Instant Video and more than 30,000 titles from Prime Instant Video anytime, anywhere."
