Adam Hawkins Moves Up at Raw TV

LONDON: International film and television production company Raw TV has elevated Adam Hawkins to executive VP of U.S. television, a newly created role.

Previously, Hawkins served as senior VP of development. In his new expanded position, he will work alongside Sam Maynard, the company’s executive VP of U.S. factual programming, and James Bates, senior VP and executive producer of Gold Rush. The trio is charged with expanding Raw TV’s U.S. business as a number of new series broadcast in the coming months. Hawkins, Bates and Maynard will work under CEO Joely Fether and founder Dimitri Doganis.

Hawkins’s credits include such recent commissions as Race for the White House (CNN), No Man Left Behind (Nat Geo), Two in a Million (TLC), Women in Prison (Investigation Discovery) and Discovery’s Harley and the Davidsons and Homestead Rescue.

Hawkins said: “I’m delighted to be working at the heart of such a vibrant, creative and inspiring company as Raw TV. I’m really excited about the shows we have coming up across a wide variety of genres: factual formats, documentaries and scripted series.”

Doganis added: “Adam is not only the best-attuned development brain I’ve ever worked with on either side of the Atlantic, he’s also a great strategic brain with a deep understanding of the different networks and distinct audiences. He combines that with being collaborative and collegiate and a great guy to work [with].
