LOS ANGELES: Next month in Cannes, American Cinema International (ACI) plans to present several new Mission Pictures International films spanning such genres as family, drama and comedy.

Among the drama highlights are Wish You Well, based on the book by David Baldacci that follows two siblings who move to their great-grandmother's farm after a family tragedy. Then there is Resilient Love, about a high-school basketball player in need of brain surgery to remove a life-threatening tumor. There is also Rosemont, which centers on a pregnant woman who gives birth at a dilapidated winter resort during a blizzard.

Other titles on offer from ACI include Love Finds You in Charm, which comes on the heels of UP Channel's Love Finds You in Sugarcreek; The Reckoning, the final installment of a trilogy based on Beverly Lewis' books; The Ultimate Legacy, the conclusion to the worldwide hits The Ultimate Gift and The Ultimate Life; and The Ridley Chronicles, an action-packed adventure miniseries from the producers of Jack Hunter. These are all slated to begin production in the fall.

"Our upcoming roster of films really touch on love, life and the struggles people face," says Chevonne O'Shaughnessey, president of ACI. "We are enthusiastic and look forward to expanding them to our global audience."
