ABC Special to Chronicle History of Captain America

BURBANK: ABC has scheduled for mid-January an original special marking the 75th anniversary of iconic Marvel superhero Captain America.

The one-hour Marvel’s Captain America: 75 Heroic Years will air January 19. Produced by Bow and Arrow Entertainment, it will follow the comic book hero’s history from 1941 to the present while exploring how the character has been a reflection of the changing times and the world he has existed in throughout the years.

Taking part in the special will be renowned comic book writer Stan Lee and actor Chris Evans, who currently plays the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The special is also set to reveal an exclusive announcement from Marvel Comics.
