ABC Renewals Include How to Get Away with Murder

BURBANK: ABC has issued early pickups for a slew of series for the 2016-17 season, among them the dramas How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal.

Grey’s Anatomy will return this fall for its 13th season. How to Get Away with Murder will head into its third season, while Scandal gets its sixth. All three projects come from Shonda Rhimes.

ABC is bringing back America’s Funniest Home Videos for season 27. The Bachelor will celebrate its 21st season. black-ish will be in season three. Dancing with the Stars will return in the fall for season 23. The comedy Fresh Off the Boat receives a third season and The Goldbergs a fourth.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is being brought back for a fourth season. The single-camera comedy The Middle will be in season eight, as will Modern Family. Shark Tank has also been renewed for season eight. Once Upon a Time gets a sixth season. Quantico is getting a sophomore run.

“We’re very proud of our strong roster of performers, and we’re excited about what they will bring us creatively next season,” said Channing Dungey, the president of ABC Entertainment.
