ABC Family, ABC Studios & ABC Signature Partner with McG

BURBANK: ABC Family, ABC Studios and ABC Signature have signed a two-year overall development deal with Wonderland Sound & Vision, a production company founded by director-producer McG.

Under the agreement, McG will direct and develop scripted drama and comedy series and produce digital content for a variety of platforms. He currently serves as an exec producer on a number of shows, including Supernatural (The CW), Mysteries of Laura (NBC), Kevin from Work (ABC Family) and the upcoming ABC Family series Shadowhunters, for which he directed the pilot. His previous TV credits include The O.C., Chuck, Nikita, Human Target and Fastlane.

ABC Family, which will become Freeform in January 2016, is part of the Disney|ABC Television Group. The channel is distributed to 94 million homes around the U.S. ABC Studios is the key content provider for the ABC Entertainment Group, having produced multiple seasons of such hits as Scandal, black-ish, American Crime, Castle and Grey's Anatomy, among many others. ABC Signature, ABC Studios' boutique division, leads development in premium and basic cable, emerging platforms and off-cycle, direct-to-series programming for broadcast networks.
