BURBANK: ABC and dick clark productions have extended their broadcast agreements for the American Music Awards for nine years and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest for ten years.

It was previously announced that Seacrest extended his deal to continue to host and executive produce the Rockin' Eve special through 2017. In addition to those two agreements, ABC and dick clark productions will come together in 2014 to premiere the new Keshet DCP weekly singing competition Rising Star. The year also marks their first-time collaboration on the 2014 Billboard Music Awards.

“We are delighted to remain at ABC, the home of many of dcp’s franchise events. Both the AMA’s and NYRE continue to exhibit tremendous growth year to year,” said Allen Shapiro, the CEO of dick clark productions.

“We enjoy a tremendous relationship with ABC which has resulted in significant ratings growth in both events and trendsetting breakthroughs in our approach,” commented Mike Mahan, the president of dick clark productions. “We are happy the relationship between ABC and dcp will continue for many years to come.”
