BBC America Greenlights U.S. Top Gear Spin-Off

NEW YORK: The Top Gear franchise will see a new eight-part U.S. adaptation later this year on BBC America.

With a nod to its U.K. roots, the reimagined U.S. spin-off of Top Gear will appear on BBC America with three new presenters later this year. The 8×1-hour Top Gear America will be hosted by racing enthusiast and veteran film and television actor William Fichtner, world champion drag racer Antron Brown and premier British automotive journalist Tom “Wookie” Ford. Season 24 of Top Gear is currently airing Sundays on BBC America.
