Fullscreen Taps Former Hulu CEO as COO

CULVER CITY: Andy Forssell, who previously served as acting CEO of Hulu, is joining the online video network Fullscreen as chief operating officer.

Forssell had been with Hulu since its inception and took over as acting CEO when Jason Kilar departed in 2013. He left Hulu in October 2013. Forssell has been serving as CEO of video start-up Showyou.

In the COO post at Fullscreen, Forssell will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s creator-, brand- and consumer-focused divisions. He takes over a post previously held by Ezra Cooperstein, who became president last year. Forssell reports to Fullscreen CEO George Strompolos.

“Andy is a proven leader who not only understands the new world of online video, he helped build it,” Strompolos said. “As COO, Andy will help us scale and manage our operation as we prepare for even more growth and innovation.”
