MarVista Digital Entertainment Lines Up Holiday-Themed Movie Premieres

LOS ANGELES: MarVista Digital Entertainment (MVDE) has two new movies making their U.S. premieres in the lead up to the Christmas holiday: My Dad is Scrooge and 12 Dog Days Till Christmas.

Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Charles Shaugnessy (The Nanny) and Bonnie Wright (Harry Potter franchise) lend their voices to the holiday movie My Dad is Scrooge, which takes A Christmas Carol into the world of animals. The movie becomes available on Amazon, AT&T, Google Play, iTunes, Vimeo and VUDU on November 1, and on Comcast on November 3.

12 Dog Days Till Christmas features Jack Vincent Giovagnoli (Passport to Explore) as a charming but misguided foster teenager who can't seem to stay out of trouble and is assigned by his probation officer (Reginald VelJohnson, Family Matters) to help at a local animal shelter for his community service. He teams with Ryan (Grainne McDermott, 1 Chance to Dance), one of the girls who runs the shelter, to try to find homes for 12 of the most unwanted canines. The movie becomes available on Amazon, AT&T, Google Play, iTunes, Vimeo and VUDU on November 29.

Three other holiday movies from MVDE are headed to Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Vimeo and VUDU audiences in November. They are Christmas Belle, starring Haylie Duff (Material Girls) and Nicholas Gonzalez (The Purge: Anarchy); My Santa, which features Samaire Armstrong (Resurrection) and Matthew Lawrence (Boy Meets World); and Secret of the Nutcracker, a retelling of the classic Christmas tale featuring Brian Cox (Red).
