Ashley Tisdale in TV Deal with Asylum

BURBANK: Asylum Entertainment has inked an overall TV deal with the outfit set up by actress and singer Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) to produce family and young-adult content.

At Blondie Girl Productions, Ashley and her sister Jennifer Tisdale, VP of development and production, will create and develop scripted and unscripted content for Asylum. Blondie Girl Productions is currently producing Disney Channel's Cloud 9 TV movie and ABC Family's Young and Hungry, among others.

Steve Michaels, the president and CEO of Asylum, noted: “We are excited to work with Ashley and Jennifer to develop television that appeals to a broader, pop-culture-savvy audience. Connecting Asylum and the Blondie Girl team is a great example of the diverse development deals we are striving to create now that we are working with Legendary.”
