Gail Berman Teams with Fox Networks Group

LOS ANGELES: The Jackal Group is a new independent production entity founded by Gail Berman and Fox Networks Group (FNG) with a view to developing scripted and unscripted content for FOX, FX, FOX International Channels and National Geographic Channels, among other outlets.

The venture aims to create content for the FNG portfolio, among other television platforms, as well as for the digital, feature-film and live entertainment arenas. Berman has an equity stake in the new company, which she will lead as chairman and CEO.

Peter Rice, chairman and CEO of FNG, commented, “Over the last two decades, Gail has built an impeccable track record as one of the industry’s most dynamic and prolific production executives. Berman was the president of entertainment at FOX before leaving to lead Paramount Pictures. She went on to co-found BermanBraun, which she exited earlier this year.
