Bruce Casino Moves Up at NBCU Television & New Media Distribution

NEW YORK: Bruce Casino has been promoted to executive VP of NBCUniversal Television & New Media Distribution in the U.S. and Canada.

As executive VP, Casino will continue to secure deals for NBCU TV content across a variety of platforms. He will also manage linear movie licensing for the division.

Casino had been serving as the senior VP of NBCUniversal Television & New Media Distribution since 2008. In that role, he contributed to the off-network television sales campaigns for Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, House, The Office and Friday Night Lights. He also oversaw several major film licensing agreements, including the partnership with FX for Universal Pictures' movie catalogues.

Before being hired by NBCU, Casino was the executive VP and general sales manager of Unapix Syndication. His other previous positions include national sales manager for Pearson/All-American Television and sales executive for Vestron Television, among others.

"Bruce is a consummate sales professional with tremendous skills, strategic focus, and a vast wealth of experience," noted Frances Manfredi, the president of NBCUniversal Television & New Media Distribution. "He is an integral member of the team whose contributions have been many and significant. Bruce doesn't find opportunities, he creates them."

"It's a dynamic time to be in the distribution business and I'm excited to take on this new role on Frances' team," added Casino. "I look forward to continue building strong relationships with our clients and I am proud to offer a vast array of content from NBCUniversal's portfolio."
