TV One Names New Programming & Production SVP

SILVER SPRING: D'Angela Proctor has been appointed as the senior VP of programming and production for TV One, where she is responsible for leading the network's original production team.

Proctor will work under Alfred Liggins, the president and CEO of TV One. Her duties will include providing strategic direction of original programming and supervising all development and current production for the network.

A former lawyer, Proctor previously served as co-owner and co-president of Strange Fruit Media. She also worked as an executive producer and creative consultant for BET. She most recently created Crazy.Sexy.Life., an upcoming OWN docu-series.

"D'Angela is a stellar choice to help us build on the programming success we've achieved at TV One," said Liggins. "Her strong relationships throughout the creative and production community have already proven beneficial as we continue to develop our slate."
